Hawaiian Martini's in the making

Hello lover

There is a restaurant here called Roy's and it has the best Hawaiian martini. Omg it is so good. Actually everything they have is good. I have never ever had a bad meal there. When Billy and I went there last year the bartender was telling us about it and how to make it. Sub ball is coming up so we decided to make it for our sub ball pre-party. Yesterday while we were downtown the kids were sleeping in the stroller so we decided to go to the bar and have a Hawaiian martini and some sushi. Yes I brought my kids into the bar. So what. Some of our Charleston friends may remember Taylor out at a martini bar at 2 months celebrating my birthday. That's just how we roll.

Recipe

3 parts vodka

1 part vanilla vodka

1 part Malibu rum

2 cut up pineapples

1/4 cup sugar mixed into the vodka (we used a little less)

Let the mixture sit for about a week

The Writing's on the wall

As I said in my last post, I am all about spring cleaning this week. Todays "job" was cleaning all the doors off. Easy enough, right? Well what I had failed to notice is that almost every door had some sort of "artwork" on it. I mean seriously. Cuatro likes to color on doors. I don't just give him crayons and say "have at it." He will just find them and color. I will find him. Take the crayon from his hand. Take the chewed up crayon from his mouth. Throw away and remind myself to wipe that door off later. Problem is I rarely follow through with the last part, I think I have just pretended not to see the Picasso artwork flowing on my doors. Well I am happy to say that a little bit of elbow grease later and we are free of "artwork" on the doors. For now.

Spring Cleaning

It's that time of year again, spring cleaning time. I started mine this past weekend. I actually don't have that big of a job because I keep up on my cleaning pretty regurally. Its just the big stuff like baseboards, cleaning window screens and pulling out things like a washer and dryer and cleaning behind there. I have given myself jobs for everyday for this week because I cant really do a big job with my 1 year old running circles around me.

I guess what spring cleaning means to me is Organizing. Getting rid of excess weight around the house. I have also started to do a lot of cleaning with vinegar and baking soda. I mean dont get me wrong, Im still a bleach girl at heart but I like to change it up. I found a great website about all the stuff you can do with vinegar.

Yes, this is a picture of my 1 year old with a CHIP IN HIS TOOTH! He slipped after he got out of the bath trying to grab a toy from the tub. I was right there. I feel so bad. Weird thing is, he has fallen way harder at the playground and stuff that I am surprised that this fall is what chipped his tooth. I was totally freaking out on sat night when it happened. I was google-ing dentists and stuff to fix his tooth. Good thing it can be fixed. For a slight moment I was debating not fixing it thinking it gives him character until I realized how sharp it is. Its dangerous!

Another reason Cuatro is the coolest one year old EVER

Yesterday was beautiful so we went stand-up paddleboarding. Billy and I usually take turns going while the other one stays on the beach with the kids. Well since Cuatro is all about the water he went too. He was just chillin taking it all in. Taylor loves the water too, but yesterday she was content building princess sand castles on the beach.

King Crab+White Truffle Oil= Pure Bliss

If you are a person that loves King Crab Legs and have a thing for white truffles...this combination is for you. Last night while having dinner we stumbled across this superb combination. We had a plate of White truffle oil for bread dipping and we were eating king crab and Billy decided to go out on a limb and instead of dipping the crab in the butter he dipped it in the oil. Let me tell you...its a whole new experience. We are kind of White truffle freaks even since a trip to Vegas+being a little intoxicated+our first truffle experience. anyways...that is not relevant, just go out and try this wonderful combination of pure love! Kokua Festival

Yesterday I had a nice surprise in my mail....MY KOKUA FESTIVAL TICKETS!!! Im so excited. I have been listening to a lot of Jack Johnson to get ready for it.
